Drums seem to be beating for Lt.-Gen. Walt Natynczyk, vice-chief of defence staff:

I've no way of estimating chances. I have seen Lt.-Gen. Angus Watt in a small, informal setting. A brilliant officer--intelligent, knowledgeable, dry and witty, and very frank. One of the most impressive people I've been exposed to (and I had a fairly long public service career).
