VIDEO AND STILL FOOTAGE AVAILABLE ON WEBSITE - FOUR SHIPS DEPART FOR
MARITIME SECURITY MISSIONS

ESQUIMALT, B.C. – Video and still footage taken today of HMC ships Calgary, Protecteur, Ottawa and Regina sailing together in the Strait of Juan de Fuca is available through Canadian Forces Combat Camera. Calgary and Protecteur left for six months in the Middle East for Operation ALTAIR, Canada’s contribution to the maritime portion of the global campaign against terrorism. Ottawa and Regina left for a four-month deployment to the Far East for multi-national naval exercises and Asia Pacific engagement activities.
