Not that our opposition will pay heed

1) Tony (Labour) Blair:
Blair urges Canada to stand firm in Afghanistan
2) Brig.-Gen. Mark Skidmore:
NATO's spine 'made in Canada,' troops told
1,300 Afghanistan-bound soldiers get timely pep talk from brass
Both via Norman's Spectator.

But let's just down arms as of February 2009 and let other NATO members get on with the messy business of invading Pakistan, eh? Such a marvelous geo-political-strategic-ethical (there must be a word in German for the concept) insight that encapsulates a certain interpretation of the Canadian way.
