While I was gathering information about the PPCLI to inform readers at The Mudville Gazette about this storied Canadian regiment, I stumbled across a wonderful collection of Picklie trivia (pdf file).

Worth reading if you're not already familiar with how the first Patricia officer to be killed in the line of duty was shot by his own men, or why a WWI Patricia was awarded the Bavarian Cross of Military Merit Third Class, or that the PPCLI was the last privately-raised unit in the Commonwealth.
