MacKay lands in Afghanistan
Looks like in the New Year the government is going to be putting forth a better effort to "explain the mission" in Afghanistan. Along with the release below announcing MaKay's arrival in Afghanistan I noticed on Friday that DND released an updated comprehensive backgrounder on Afghanistan, complete with links to info like the Taliban codex, Canada-Afghanistan site, and ISAF site, amongst others.
Worth looking at on the Canada-Afghanistan site is the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team Technical briefing (Powerpoint Presentation) posted on the 15th of December. (Someone should send a copy to Layton and Dion, I don't think they've had a chance to review it yet)
