Signing of CH-47F Chinook contract looks closer

For example, the Canadian Forces want a tank twice as big. Several defense equipment would be added, including a missile sensor systems and response. The question is whether the delays to date will prove fatal. Le Devoir's early 2009 timeline falls afoul of the machinations in Parliament. Which could easily dissolve, forcing a new election and a new government.

A Liberal/NDP government will be all too happy to kill the program and spend it on rewards for their political supporters, since it can't deliver helicopters before Canada leaves Afghanistan.
