Afstan: Van Doos C Company would rather fight than reconstruct

According to this Presse Canadienne story the troops feel frustrated; their greatest challenge is adapting to their "passive" role (I wonder if English CP will run the story). The 156 soldiers arrived late last year. One is confident the battle group from the Royal 22e Régiment that arrives in August will have the same spirit; but what about the Québécois as a whole? Not that the attitude of other Canadians is not worrying.

And of course this sort of story might just give the impression that soldiers are bloodthirsty warmongers and reduce support for the mission.
