The new US Army Brigade Combat Team for Kandahar--who cares?

A post two days ago:
The second US Army Brigade Combat Team coming to Kandahar/COIN priority over CT
...
In the second wave of the surge, in March to May, another U.S. Army brigade combat team, from the 101st Airborne Division, will deploy to the districts around Kandahar City, Afghanistan's second-largest and the birthplace of the Taliban movement [want to wager when that will get major play in our media?]...
Well, Matthew Fisher of Canwest News has a good report on the new BCT--but of all the Canwest papers only the National Post seems to have run a full story. The Ottawa Citizen, one of their papers, ran a very brief bit in the middle of the front section. No mention at all of the new BCT in the Globe and Mail nor in the Toronto Star. Our major media are generally not interested in covering the war; rather they cover the politics of the war, spinning more or less according to their agenda.

Read Mr Fisher, doing the job so few of our journalists bother to do. Or care about doing.
