"Talking Afghanistan on ABC."

From Paul at Celestial Junk. Quite:
I don't recall a discussion this informed, and sober, on Canadian television ... but then it doesn't matter, we are fleeing the region in 2011, while our closest allies the UK and USA are actually increasing their commitment [we'll see how much].

Harper et al are more concerned with Quebec votes than winning in Afghanistan ...
As for a Canadian Sunday morning talk show:
Transcripts, or, American vs. Canadian television...

Harper and government made a promise to the Canadian people. Good for him for attempting to keep his promise. He will definitely loose votes if he doesn't.

Canada is once again becoming a significant world player and the Quebecois want to put us back into diplomatic insignificance. I guess the Quebecois don't want their faux diplomatic missions to be seen for what they really are--window dressing to make the Quebecois think they're able to play in the real world. Without the ROC Quebec is nothing. Without Quebec, Canada would be a much happier and wealthier country.

Favill, you should be careful not to lump all those from Quebec into one homogenous lump. I served with a good many top-notch Quebecois who were proud Canadians and proud Quebecois at the same time. There are good and bad apples all across this country.

I make a distinction. Canadians who happen to live in Quebec and Quebecois (those who believe that being born in Quebec is an actual nationality).
