Kudos to DND for Fessing Up Quick
21 Jun 09: Someone filing an Access to Information Act request was told, "no, we're not going to tell you how much Canada's mission in AFG is expected to cost in the future because of national security implications."
23 Jun 09: Canada shares said information via the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's web page.
24 Jun 09: DND spokesperson Jeremy Sales is quoted saying the information "was unnecessarily severed. It was a human error and we acknowledge that mistake."
Happy to offer bricks when things aren't done right, so I'm happy to offer a bouquet for the reasonably quick DND admission the hold-back was in error.
