Out with the old, in with the older

Liberal Leader Stephane Dion has announced his new Shadow Cabinet:
Liberal MPs to target economy

Ajax-Pickering MP Mark Holland will take on the new public safety minister, Peter Van Loan. Vancouver MP Ujjal Dosanjh returns to defence. Toronto MP Carolyn Bennett has health. Newfoundland MP Todd Russell takes Indian affairs whose former critic, Winnipeg MP Anita Neville, moves to Treasury Board and western economic development.
What Dion should be doing is reaching into the Senate and appointing Senator Colin Kenney. In that way, there would at least be some credibility attached to the position. Still no word yet on the NDP's appointments for the upcoming session.

It would be nice if Colin Kenny ran for Liberal leader, but that doesn't look likely.

On a side note, isn't it odd that the man who said that border gaurds are cowards is the Liberal public safety critic?
