HMCS Charlottetown to the rescue!

One of my good friends in the navy, Cdr. Patrick St. Denis, Commanding Officer of HMCS Charlottetown (he was a very capable navigating officer when we served together in the early 90s), oversaw his ship's rescue of Pakistani sailors the other day, which is just making its way onto the news following his CTV Canada AM interview. The three surviving Pakistanis (most went down with their ship) are telling a rather chilling tale of their desperation, and will be forever grateful for their merciful Canadian rescue.

So three cheers to the ship and crew of HMCS Charlottetown!
