"A continuing failure to communicate"

Another good piece by the Ruxted Group at Milnet.ca (two earlier ones are discussed here by Babbling). The government's inability to communicate effectively the rationale, tactics and strategy, and goals of the Afghan mission have been a constant theme at this blog. Ruxted pulls the elements of that failure together very well, comparing unfavourably (but rightly I think) the performance of Liberal Louis St. Laurent as External Affairs Minister in the 1940s with our Conservative ministers today.

And, as a commenter says about the Liberals:
Surely we can't be the only ones who see the contradictions between St Laurent's brand of Liberalism and Dion's brand?
