Thank-you from a grateful nation

After an inexplicable loss of the first set of medals, Kuwait re-minted a second batch of the Kuwait Medal of the Liberation of Kuwait for presentation to Canadians , which have sat in the Department of Foreign Affairs since their receipt in November of 2005.

On Tuesday His Excellency Musaed Rashed A. AL-HAROUN, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait began the first of a series of awards presentations to qualified members of the CF in Ottawa. There will be further presentation ceremonies in Halifax, Gagetown, Quebec, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Cold Lake and Esquimalt over the months of May and June.

Retired CF members who wish to obtain the medal are to communicate directly with:
