A post by CTV's David Akin on his blog.

And a nice piece by CTV's Lisa LaFlamme:

"Torture in Af-stan" ... do most of the Left really give a damn?

They don't care about the unspeakable Baathist atrocities that the US and Coalition stopped in Iraq. They don't care about the Mullah dictatorship's ongoing atrocities in Iran (where's their outrage today about the Iraniam regime's murder of the Iranian-Canadian woman journalist?) Nor do they care about the Syrian regime's ongoing crimes against the Syrian and Lebanese people.

The "torture in Af-stan" meme is just a good hammer with which to hit the Conservatives. Cheap shots for cheap political points. I think it's a safe prediction that as soon as the maximum political mileage is obtained from this, the Left and their MSM mouthpieces will move on to the next opportunity or issue to bash the Conservatives and the military.

So:
1) your contention is false
2) You don't know how to use Google
3) you've engaged in what I'll call the propaganda of blending/linkage
4) You've generalized, again.
5) The irony, the sheer, bald face liquid spewing out my nose all over my keyboard, laugh inducing irony of you speaking of anything being " just a good hammer" is mind boggling. (I'll need your address, I'm going to have to bill you for a new keyboard, it's full of coffee)
6) There is no 6, even numbered lists are tidier.

Oh, and, while I tend to agree that this is a political tempest in a tea cup (at least how it's being presented in the CDN media) I'm not at all comfortable with anyone dismissing the handling of prisoners by saying "anyone who discusses this has only one intention".

It smacks of an attempt to shut down debate.

Cameron, you've evidently got your keyboard working again. Since this time, you didn't address a comment of mine in solely ad hominem mode, I'll pass on a suggestion that (from personal experience with my keyboard and a glass of ginger ale) I know works.

If it should happen again (such as after reading any statements by the Liberal or NDP Defense Critics), immediately and thoroughly blow out the keyboard with one of those cans of compressed gases used to clean electronic components. They're cheap, indispensable "electronics insurance" and everyone ought to have one by their PC.
