The Toronto Star's Jim Travers is shocked, shocked...

...to discover this awful spectre:
In practice as well as in philosophy the Armed Forces are edging closer to becoming interoperable – as well as heavily dependent – on the United States...
Quelle horreur! Why is interoperability suddenly an implied menace? NATO members (including the US!) have been working on interoperability for many years. But I guess Mr Travers, as a typical Canadian columnist, is not quite up to speed on these matters--including the fact that Canadian Navy vessels have been operating (outside the NATO ambit in these examples) as integral parts of US Navy carrier battle groups since 1998, when M. Chrétien was prime minister.

Jim Travers seems to be trying to be wrong about the largest amount of stuff at one time as possible.

shhhh . . . don't tell Travers the new tanks are German made . . . or the new 155's are British made, or our UAV's are made in France . . . it will spoil his anti American conspiracy needs

Cameron . . . you are most welcome . I see you are still learning, slowly, but learning nonetheless. I commend you for your efforts. Keep up the good work.

Well said, Fred.

But as for me responding to Cameron, I'll hold my tongue. As Lincoln said, "Never argue with a fool. Somebody else may not be able to tell the difference."

What are you going to respond to dave? We seem to be in agreement. If you'd remove your ideological blinkers you'd notice that.

But I'm the fool.

Oh yes.

Good job Dave.

Bravo.
