There's a reason they call it "Cold Lake"


As it turns out, my information on where the Canadian Joint Precision Aerial Delivery Standoff System (CJPADSS) was to be tested was incorrect. How do I know? Because this guy told me so:

This is what we are tracking. Click here for a SHERPA project brief from MMIST in Canada. Essentially it is a GPS guided parachute system.


Cold Lake is a helluva place to send anyone who eats grits.

Hopefully the testing is going well.

Update: Apparently, it's not going as well as it might. Here's some good detail on some testing hiccups, if you're into that sort of thing.
