Afghanistan: A fair hearing for our troops

Canada's soldiers are willing to die to protect this country so it seems only fair Canadians offer those soldiers the presumption of innocence whenever they are alleged to have done something wrong in a conflict zone. All Canadians deserve that basic right, whether they wear a uniform or not, until the facts and the evidence prove otherwise beyond a reasonable doubt.

A small band of soldiers disgraced this country in Somalia but several battalions have made this country proud in Afghanistan. We owe these brave soldiers more than a debt of gratitude. We owe them the benefit of the doubt.
