A gentle reminder...

...to two of our contributors here at The Torch that they still have posting privileges, even if they seem to have forgotten themselves:

Andrew at BBG pointing our attention towards veterans of Canada's Merchant Navy:

On this day we should take a moment to remember (or learn about) the more than 12,000 men and women who served in Canada's Merchant Navy during the Second World War. As pointed out in the quotation above, the Merchant Navy suffered the greatest casualty rate (one in eight) of any branch of the Canadian Armed Forces during the war, and yet they are often shoved off to one side when we think of our veterans.

Dave at The Galloping Beaver drawing a common thread from three separate issues:

It's easy to see what's causing this re-invention of the wheel in the CF: lack of corporate knowledge.

It's what happens when an established group is constantly being resized and reorganized. The corporate knowledge evaporates and the organization loses its memory.

I don't mean to bellyache or nag, gents. But these two posts are a good example of why this blog was created in the first place.

No, Andrew, you cannot claim abject laziness. Read your script: I'm the lazy one around here.

Now shape up! Or...or...or I'll say "shape up!" again.
