A Canadian Army and Canadian Air Force too

Rather obvious, I'd say:
Political push afoot to rename the Canadian navy
‘They are the Canadian Navy. What does Maritime Command mean?’ asks Senator William Rompkey, leading the charge

Federal politicians of all stripes are voicing support for a Liberal senator’s effort to change the name of the Canadian Forces Maritime Command [for which there is no official website, see below] to the one that most Canadians understand: the Canadian Navy...

Some Canadians will be surprised to learn that the Canadian navy is not called the Canadian Navy [well, see below again]. The name was changed to the Maritime Command in 1968 when Paul Hellyer, who was then the Liberal minister of National Defence, unified the Canadian Army, the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force into a single structure with a single uniform.

The move proved widely unpopular among members of the Forces...
Pity about that "Royal"; but a long-goner, also for the Air Force. Earlier:
Navy centennial: The Royal touch
Meanwhile there seems a re-designation move actually in place. We now have official "Canadian Navy" and "Canadian Army" websites--but "Canada's Air Force" remains. Not much ring to that, more a descriptor than a title.

I'd be more than happy to have the Royal titles reinstated for the Navy and Air Force--they've earned them!
