Afstan aspects, with audio/Pathological narcissistic profs update
Excerpts from Terry Glavin's latest post:
Moral Clarity:Pathological narcissistic profs update: From BruceR. at Flit:
On Easter Sunday, 2007, Pte. Kevin Kennedy was killed in Afghanistan. Today in Kandahar, at an Easter ceremony for the families of fallen soldiers, Kevin's father Myles said this: "If you look at our history, we always went in with strong moral causes, and we went in to do a job. Our job will not be complete if (Prime Minister Stephen Harper) pulls out the whole group...
Moral Squalor:
After their spectacular display of academic incompetence, pathological narcissism and ahistorical gibberish-mongering last month, a gaggle of University of Regina professors are now presenting themselves as persecuted truth-to-power speakers. It's just too faint-making for them...
Meanwhile:
I was on Rex Murphy's Cross-Country Checkup today [see April 4 here, audio here]. So was Bob Rae, the Liberal Party's foreign affairs critic, whose declaration that Canada must re-dedicate itself to Afghanistan was a delight to hear, as I'm sure Laurie Hawn will agree. Only a couple of the usual stoppist crackpots called in...

Public funding provided by Veterans Affairs through the Children of Deceased Veterans Education Assistance Act, set up in the wake of the Korean War, was and is okay: no complaint here...
(I am personally at a loss on the basis for saying Korea was obviously less illegal than Afghanistan, given a once-over glance of the Security Council resolutions and House of Commons resolutions that exist for both, but hey, I'm not a university professor, either.)

What a spectacular display of left-wing hubris by these UoR profs. It makes me want to go over there and shake their Ivory Tower until they fall out, undoubtedly still clutching their mocha lattes, signed Michael Moore DVD collections, and Che Guevara flags.
And these people are teaching our youth...
"academic incompetence, pathological narcissism and ahistorical gibberish-mongering "
That pretty much sums up the vast majority of the Arts/Sociology/Victims Whining Departments of all Canadian Universities these days.
A giant cabal of narrow minded bigoted wannbe marxist progressive rent seekers who should be fired so the Universities can clean the crap out and start over.
