What a great welcome home.
Oh, man. Me too. The tears. My dad and his brother signed up in Regina and shipped the minute WWII broke and was Camp Shilo shortly after. They both came back, thanks be to God. My dad was 36 when he enlisted and his brother was 40. It amazes me still that men that old would want to enlist and even more so, that they were accepted.
Oops. That got mangled a big. Proof read, Louise, especially when when you move things around. But I think you get my drift.
no worries Louise . . . we understand the intent.
They were of my father's generation and what a great example of humanity they were.
I missed joining the Rangers at 55 by a few months. I would have been the oldest re-up new recruit in basic. Y'know, the smiling one.
