I'm pretty insistent with the other contributors that this blog be focused solely on the CF. But since I know we have a number of CF rotary-wing types who frequent these pages, I'm going to make an exception to that rule to point you to an American who died last week: Frank Piasecki, inventor of the tandem-rotor helicopter.

Go read about a true 20th century innovator, and one whose creations helped thousands upon thousands of soldiers, sailors, and airmen throughout the Western world.
