Globemastering

Good news:
Air Force personnel doing final checks on C-17 before delivery to Canada

A small group of Canadian Air Force personnel and others are working enthusiastically behind the scenes at the Boeing plant in Long Beach, California to prepare for the arrival of the first Canadian C-17 Globemaster III aircraft at 8 Wing Trenton next month...

Once Canada is satisfied that the aircraft is good to go, a senior member of the C-17 PMO will fly to Long Beach to sign the "DD250" - Delivery Document - and then, it'll be time for Canada's first C-17 aircrew to pull the chalks, start the engines and bring the giant bird "home" to Trenton...

Canada One flew its maiden flight on Monday, July 23 from Long Beach, California over the Pacific Ocean and around Catalina Island...

that's more like it :)

"SEVILLE, August 1 (2015): A small group of Canadian Air Force personnel are doing final checks on an A400M before... the engines, originally slated to be delivered in August 2007, are to be installed on the first flight test aircraft.

Airbus executives still insist that engine development was never on the A400's critical path and the extended development time frame for the new engines was really intended to promote European harmony as well as propel the A400 "Baguette".

Not to be pedantic but I believe it's "chocks", not "chalks". :-)

As far as the A400M, it's the finest virtual aircraft wasted tax dollars could buy. From the Airbus website, there's lovely photos to download and post in the transport squadron's ready room, in lieu of having actual non-virtual aircraft.

Well if certain politicans of all sorts of stripes have their way the CF won't need to have real aircraft, since all their missions will be virtual.
