Wounded Warrior Fund

Further to my previous post, there are a number of volunteer organizations striving to help our troops and their families. The Sapper Mike McTeague Wounded Warrior Fund is one of them:

The Sapper Mike McTeague Wounded Warrior Fund supports Canadian service persons wounded on operations, at the outset of the healing process. The fund aims to improve the general morale and welfare of the soldiers and their families by working through first-line caregivers, medical staff, chaplain's and Assisting Officers.

Currently, the Fund is raising money through the sale of The Eternal Flame brooches, at the bargain price of $6.75 apiece. Thanks to Military Mom at Home for the pointer.

Whether CFPSA wants to acknowledge or coordinate with them or not, groups like this one will continue to do good work on behalf of our CF members. Best of luck to them, too.
