The Canadian Naval Review is published quarterly by the Centre for Foreign Policy Studies at Dalhousie University. It is a professional journal examining a wide range of naval issues from a Canadian perspective with particular emphasis on the strategic concepts, policies, procurement programs and operations of the Canadian Navy. This initiative brings together members of the Canadian naval community and is a component of the Centre’s Maritime Security Program and a continuation of the Centre’s long involvement in naval and maritime issues....About "Broadsides":
We have created this Discussion Form to encourage timely and informed discussion of current issues of interest to those in the Canadian and international defence and maritime security community. We believe strongly that this concept of a maritime-oriented policy forum is in keeping with the educational and public outreach mandate of the Canadian Naval Review...The first topic, "Debating Defence and Naval Policy", deals in particular with the Conservative government's funding (or lack thereof) of the Navy, and other maritime matters such as the need for the Navy in the Arctic.
