Nice to know there is still a degree of common sense left in DND.
Looks like Media Affairs got through to the Legal department. I wonder how painful the surgery was. :)

Just remember folks, DND does not always mean Canadian Forces :) DND is the whole department including civlians, CF is military members. I would really hope this was an overzealous DND lawyer.
Thanks Dwayne, that's something I never forget. We could lose half the staff from Disneyland on the Rideau and not break a sweat. If we're ever to truly rebuild and reform the military the first place we need to start is our bloated command and control structures. But that's a topic for another day.
Gerry's updated blog does identify it as 'low-level' advice that was acted on without being cleared by higher-ups.
